Reviews are the foundation of LeaseScores. We're committed to keeping them honest, fair, and useful for the community.
Any registered user can review a landlord or tenant based on a genuine rental relationship. You don't need to have a current lease โ past experiences count. However, reviews must be based on firsthand experience.
All reviews must: be based on a real rental experience, be written by the person who had the experience (no ghostwriting), not contain personal attacks or threats, not reference protected classes under the Fair Housing Act, and be factual. Opinions are welcome, but fabricated claims are not.
We will remove reviews that: violate the Fair Housing Act, contain threats or harassment, are demonstrably fake or incentivized, contain private personal information (SSN, phone numbers, exact unit numbers of other tenants), are spam or off-topic, or are submitted by the profile owner about themselves.
Any user can flag a review. Fair Housing flags are prioritized and reviewed within 2 business days. All other flags are reviewed within 10 business days. Flagged reviews remain visible but marked as "Under Review" until resolved.
Verified or claimed landlords can post one public response per review. Responses must follow the same standards as reviews. Responses cannot be edited after submission to ensure transparency.
If your review is removed and you believe the decision was incorrect, you can email moderation@leasescores.com with your review ID and explanation. Appeals are reviewed within 14 business days.
